Mobile phones I don't use

I have three mobile phones, none of which I use. I think I must have been one of the first to buy a mobile. It is a virgin brick and I loved it to bits. When the battery wouldn't hold its charge any more, I bought three, because they told me the phone was obsolete, and the batteries would not be available for long. Saddly eventually the screen broke, and it was no longer functional. I live in Brittany France, and travel regularly to see my parents in Salisbury Wiltshire, and my son in London. My mother was so distressed to hear if the demise of my phone, she immediately sent me another. This was of course so that she could get in touch with me at any time of day or night, even when traveling, an aspect of the mobile I did not like! I had in the past frequently "forgotten" my charger so that I had an excuse to turn my phone off and concerve it. This new phone was tiny. It had tiny little buttons. I am an old person. It stayed in the draw. When I made my next trip home, my Mother insisted that I go out and buy myself a phone. I did. It is very pritty. It is small and pink and only cost me ten pounds, and when I find someone with whome I can admit I cannot work it out, and when they have shown me at least six times what to do, then I will use it! |
